While you know I love to be out on the road visiting the national parks, I like taking a break sometimes to recharge my twigs. While you are here, check out the fun activities, plus read my diary, meet my friends, and check out the photos I took at all the places I traveled.

Tripp is so proud of Christy B. and can't wait to visit Providence, RI!
Hurray to Yonzie the Pink Fairy Godfather Armadillo! Huh? Who is Yonzie? Isn’t this a book about Tripp the Tumbleweed’s adventures in Yellowstone National Park? Yes, but without Yonzie, it’s likely that Tripp would never have made it through the park in one piece! You mean a pink fairy godfather armadillo actually exists, and it was in Yellowstone National Park? Yes. And he saved Tripp? Well, sort of. Check out Tripp’s adventures in Yellowstone to learn more about Yonzie the Pink Fairy Godfather Armadillo and his “magical powers!”
This book is available now on Amazon in paperback.

Tripp and his adoptive parents, Christy B. and Dr. III, recently had the opportunity to share his adventures with Dave Allgood on the KTUU news station in Anchorage, Alaska. Tripp can't wait to visit all of the national parks in Alaska. Christy B. and Dr. III are thinking brrrrrrrrrrr!
Special thanks to the K - 5th grade students in Tripp's hometown afterschool program for participating in Tripp's afterschool initiative. They spent 20 days focused on becoming enlightened and inspired by the U.S. national parks culminating in helping write about Tripp's adventures in Zion National Park!
I have a voice! I have a voice! I just created my first video on my YouTube channel. Each time I visit a national park, I am going to share the back stories from my adventures. Check out my intro video! You know you want to hear what my voice sounds like! Hee Hee!
Check out my theme song video!

Christy B. had a great time appearing on LIVE! In the Bay where she introduced Tripp to the Bay Area! Children’s book series invites kids to explore National Parks | KRON4
"The authors’ focus on enlightening and inspiring students to explore and protect the great outdoors is admirable as we experience the impact of climate change. The way they are doing it, engaging students to determine Tripp the Tumbleweed’s adventures in our country’s national parks, is spot on. To that end, I highly encourage teachers to collaborate with Christy B and Dr. III to introduce Tripp into their classrooms. Personally. I look forward to reading about Tripp’s journey in my home park, Shenandoah National Park in Virginia!"
Ed and Christy Bray plan to write a children's book about each one of the country's 63 national parks, and use children to guide them...
Many Americans consider the national parks our country’s greatest treasures. Dublin residents Ed and Christy Bray have launched a children’s book series to help young readers – and their parents – learn all about these destinations, one park at a time.
The books follow the adventures of Tripp the Russian Thistle – commonly known as a tumbleweed – as he visits different national parks. So far, the Brays have written Tripp’s origin story and covered his visit to Death Valley National Park.
Christy B, plus the teacher and student from the third-grade class that helped write Tripp's origin story, had the opportunity to introduce Tripp and share the book-writing process on “Conversations with Mel McKay” on local TV30. It aired throughout December 2023.
Embracing the victory over breast cancer and embracing the empowering mantra of "there is no time like the present," Christy, powered by unwavering support from her entire family, has embarked on an extraordinary literary journey. Their shared love for exploring the wonders of national parks has sparked the creation of a captivating children's book series, chronicling the whimsical escapades of Tripp the Tumbleweed across all sixty-three of the nation's cherished parks. With two enchanting tales already penned – Tripp's origin story, a tale rooted in the heart of Dublin where Tripp first saw the light of day and daring exploits within the mystical realm of Death Valley National Park – Christy's creative spirit is now weaving its way for Tripp's upcoming expedition to Pinnacles National Park.
Christy, a teacher with twenty-five years of experience, is featured in California Educator magazine, published by the California Teachers Association. Her true love for Tripp's adventures are rooted in the fact that students across the country are helping write each of the books!
